ARCTERYX
ON the slopes of Ben Nevis, the weather changes quickly. We started the approach in the rain, on wet ground, and reached walls covered in wind-blown snow and ice. Here we climbed Twisting Gully and Ordinary Route, two lines that reflect the character of Scottish mixed climbing: thin ice, solid rock, and fully traditional protection, with nuts and peckers carefully placed. Two different yet complementary routes, climbed in typical Scottish conditions.
